Article Publication/Processing Charges
  • APC Agreement
  • Following our peer review process, if the article is accepted, the article processing charges of 600,000 KRW (Korea)/500 USD (Rest of world) with effect from 01 January 2023 will be applied to your article. There are no submission charges for JCPR. Generally, these fees provide both retrospective and prospective coverage, including of peer review management by the editorial staff or board (i.e., identifying and following up with peer reviewers), manuscript preparation (e.g., copyediting), journal production (e.g., layout), open access online publication and hosting, indexing (e.g., in PubMed), and archiving.
  • Article Publication/Processing Charges
  • Open Access Publication: All manuscripts submitted to Journal of Ceramic Processing Research - Hanriwon (Hanyang University Press, Seoul) are assumed to be submitted under the Open Access publishing model. In this publishing model, manuscripts are peer-reviewed in a normal way under editorial control. When a paper is accepted for publication, the author is issued with an invoice for payment of an article publishing charge (see payment details below) before their paper can progress any further. Payment of this charge allows Hanriwon - Hanyang University Press to recover its editorial, peer review administration, and production costs.

    Publication fees: Authors pay a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of peer review administration and management, professional production of articles in PDF and other formats, and dissemination of published papers in various venues, in addition to other publishing functions. There are no charges for rejected articles, no submission charges, and no surcharges based on the length of an article, figures or supplementary data. Some items (Editorials, Corrections, Addendums, Retractions, Comments, etc.) are published free of charge

    Published papers appear electronically and are freely available from our website http://www.jcpr.or.kr/journal/issue/archives. Authors may also use their published articles (.pdf format) for any non-commercial use on their personal or non-commercial institution's website.

    Upon acceptance for publication a publishing charge will be payable.

    Note: Owing to fluctuations in foreign exchange rates fees may occasionally be subject to change without notice.

    APCs are payable within 5 to 10 business days.

    Invoices are emailed shortly after acceptance to the payment contact provided by the authors. Only official invoices issued by JCPR (jcpr@hanyang.ac.kr) are valid. We do not authorize any third party to collect the APCs. JCPR is the sole service provider and cannot be held liable for actions by third parties.

    For wire transfers, we ask the customer to pay the fees for both the sender and the recipient bank, so that JCPR receives the full invoiced amount.
